HI all, right I want to hear the very best of your bad beats and amazing catches, as long as their believable and not, “I ran quads into a royal flush” bull sh*t.
Il start, recently playing in Newcastle in a £50 freeze out I raised pre flop on the cut off with pocket 9’s, flat called by small blind. Flop Q 9 3 rainbow, I he checks I bet ½ pot he thinks and calls. Turn 2 he checks I bet out 2/3 he raises me all in, (we are about even chips he just has me covered 11 people left 9 paid. On our backs he’s a set of 3’s, then he quotes the line “its got to be a three!!!!”, BANG 3 on the river final board Q 9 3 2 3 his quads against my full house!........(who said real life pokers not rigged).
To use an appropriate phrase, “sometimes doing the right thing aint enough”

Geez! I just replied to this with some great bad beat stories and the dam computer broke - I can't be bothered to type it all out again but have to mention this crazy one from last week when I played in Macau because it is unbelieveable
I was playing 10-20 HK$ NL which is about 70p-£1.40 and I was a couple of thousand up after playing for just 30 minutes because there was so many loose fish at the table - Joy!
Anyway, I look down in last position and have a Qh Qc - Already there have been 5 callers so I raise it up to 200 (these guys are dam loose so they will join me just to see a flop), the blinds fold, but 4 of the callers come along for the ride - the flop comes 4h Qd As, first two people check and the third bets it 1,200, (at this stage I have him on an A with a reasonable kicker, he didn't raise preflop so I don't think it would be a J, Q or K as he was the kind of guy that would go all in with this)
I just flat call along with one other person, the turn comes Qs....WOO HOO....now we have action - the bettor is first to act and puts me all in (2,350) - I call as does the other player who is also all in with slightly less than me.
At this stage, I am litterally planning on what to do with the money and then the River comes.....It is an A - I turn over QQ to make Quad Queens with an Ace kicker, the flat caller turns over pocket 4's making a full house and low and behold the final player turns over pocket aces making quad aces with a Q kicker
SICK!!!!!

I have a good one from last night playing in the $350 WSOP satalite on Stars and I will keep it simple because it is still painful!!
It was about 21/2 hrs in to the tourney and I was not doing well with about 4,000 (started with 5k) with blinds at 150 - 300 I think - ANyway I get Aces under the gun and raise it up to 900 to play (I am afraid to bring any limpers in at this stage) - 5 people call!! So flop comes and it is 3 7 j mixed bag - I bet 1,800 and get one caller the guy sitting to my left - A 9 falls and I go all in - He calls immediately - He has a J 9 off suit. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm playing a conservative game, have a decent stack, but I'm not catching anything in too many hands. I get aggressive and go all in when I see a pair, Deuces. Table folds around except for one guy, and he has Aces. No matches on the flop, no match on the turn, I catch a Deuce on the river and double up. The guy didn't say a damn thing, but I know he was steamed.
