Why are people scared to play live poker 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I just wrote an article on what I think stop people playing poker in London - Let me know what you think and if there are any other myths we could add to this list?

Honestly, I have never played poker live, but after reading your article, I think i will try it. It makes perfect sense. For me, I have bad vision, so I am afraid I wont see the correct blinds properly and such....

Thanks, the article was great,

Great article! Good points.

Although it is not mythical, I do feel a fair amount of people are simply cowed at the thought of venturing out to meet new people in an unfamiliar setting.

Add on keeping track of your cards, player assessment, table position, prior play, and the peculiar rules of the cardroom and you might have some folks looking for a change of shirt (or some other garment).

However, as with most situations in life, jumping in feet first first and ignore the consequences seems to be the most efficient way of overcoming this particular type of obstacle.

Soon, you will likely find that you are the seasoned pro and chuckling over your silly perceptions as well as at the new fishies in the room ruining their undergarments.
