hi guys, im new to london and live in gants hill im not really into night busses and such so most torns are out of the question, where can i likely get a sat/sunday afternoon tourn for the region of £20-50?

Hi Mate, Sorry no idea where Gants Hill is but I would go for the 2pm tourney at GutShot - It is a £20 freeze out or was the last time I played - Give them a call and they will confirm. It normally has 50+ runners and is a friendly game that plays till around 7/8pm.
Also if you go out there is always a cash game or two that will take you to the last tube home - Something like the £25 25p/50p NL self deal game would work for you - It shouldn't kill your bank roll and if you are steady you will make money easily from the fish going out of the tournament upstairs

Another good one to try is The Empire Casino in Leicester Sq - They have a £10 rebuy on a Sat and Sunday which has 71 runners almost every time. This is there max and I recommend you get down early as it tends to be full by 1.15 - 1.30.

The plus with this venue is that it is v nice and is central plus toasted sandwiches and soft drinks are free of charge. The negative is there is limited cash games going on and you are in a casino so you may be tempted by the blackjack and spend a lot more than you planned.
