London Pub Poker is Growing PDF Print E-mail

With poker still growing in the UK and London there have been more live games appearing throughout many of the pubs in London. The London pub poker scene has been strong the past couple years, but is growing steadily at a nice pace. Most of the tournaments being played weekly throughout some of the pubs in London are attracting 50+ players a night.

It doesn’t matter if you’re completely new to poker or if you’ve been playing for years anyone of legal age is allowed to play in these tournaments. None of them have restrictions as to who can join and as long as you have the cash on hand you’ll be allowed to play. They are a great venue for meeting new friends while doing something you enjoy and there are a good mix of men and women who show up to play.

Currently you’ll be able to find an event everyday throughout London in one pub or another so no matter what day you want to play you’ll be able to find an event. You’ll be able to find the events using the internet and some of the websites out there offering London Pub Leagues.

I have found Blapo.co.uk which is one of the leading London Pub Poker guides on the internet. It’s a website which is built by poker players for poker players to find poker games throughout the pubs in London. Currently the website offers events every Monday – Thursday in different pubs in London. Some of the popular pubs where they play at is The Apple Tree and My Hotel, but you’ll be able to find specific dates, times and directions using there website. Last year this group of poker players also put on the London Pub Poker Open which seen 165 poker players compete for the title of the best poker player in the London Pub Poker scene.

Another good poker league which is based in the London Pub scene is the BubblePoker.co.uk league. They have tournament held a few times every week with most of the events being played in The Urban Bar and City Bunker which are two pubs in London. If you visit the Bubble Poker website you’ll be able to find the directions and specific dates to the events every week. They have a stunning website which lists all of the events for the current month, plus the latest news and results of how previous tournaments went. They have opened there London Pub Poker league so that friends and family in London could come together a couple times a week and play in friendly poker tournaments.

In London it’s completely legal for pubs in the city to run legal poker tournaments and we’ve seen in an increase in the amount of leagues opening up for poker players. The amount of entrants playing in the tournaments are growing which means the prize pools are growing and the atmosphere is becoming more of a party. If you live in London and you’re a poker player you got to check out the two websites above so that you can play in some events this month at your local pubs.
