What exactly defines "smart casual"? Will nice jeans, a collared long-sleeve shirt and no trainers be good enough at the Vic?

Thanks for the help, trying to play some cards while in town for work.

That is fine - These days with poker rooms getting more important at the casinos they are getting less and less strict as us poker players don't tend to be that "smart" TBH I think you would be alright with jeans and trainers - Call up an ask, they will let you know for sure.

Funniest thing I saw is at The Empire where they make people tuck in there hoody!!
