Based near both Hanger Lane and Park Royal The Western Club is one of the biggest poker clubs in London and more importantly Europe. The club can cater for up to 300 players at a time and occupies 11,000 sq ft!

Membership Information:

The Western Club is a private members club so as with all private member poker clubs these days application for membership must be made at least 48 hours before your visit and this can be done directly through the club. Remember your ID.

Food:

The Western Club has dining areas on both floors served by very attentive and well skilled kitchen staff - The club is also runs a comprehensive waitress service thoughout and includes complimentry tea and coffee all day.

Bar:

The fully stocked bar is open until 3.30am and serves a wide range of drinks and a good stock of draught beers. Previously the bar opened till 2.30am so  this extra hour is

Personal Comments/Advice:

The Western Private Members Club is definately one of the nicer poker clubs in London in terms of both the venue and the people. Don't get me wrong the players are good and certainly not a bunch of fish but they are a freindly bunch making it a great place to go for a beer, an amateur game of poker or a high stake cash game.

The venue provides ample parking, air conditioning, comefortable furnishing and a pleasing on the eye design.

If you aren't up for poker there are other activities and facilities which include snooker and pool tables, a large screen TV showing pay per view and live sporting events, internet cafe, Kalooki, Backgammon, Bridge and  Rummy.

Games Availiable:

The Western Private Members Club has recently been granted a Club Gaming Permit which allows poker to be played in the Club for unlimited stakes and unlimited prizes - Happy days!! Poker mainly revolves around No Limits Hold 'Em and Omaha and there is a tournament every day, each game usually starting at 8:30pm. The Club holds afternoon tournaments staring at 2.30pm on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Although the schedule tends to be pretty regular I would phone ahead just to make sure.
